What is Arts and Crafts Night? (ACN)
TDLR: Free crafts with local creatives in a bar!!
ACN is a two-parted project!
Arts and Crafts Night is a monthly event where local friends and creatives come together over supplies, drinks and music. I bring basic supplies such as:

Collage
-
Paint, pastels
-
Fabrics
-
Gems, pipe cleaners, string
-
Much more!
After the event, I display pieces at The Sydney for a whole month! I also digitize your piece and upload it to our archive, where you can share your work with friends.
Art created at ACN will be returned to you, along with a digital copy:)!
What do you mean, "archive?"
Yes, dear!! Flunked out Art/SpEd Education major here, I love documentation. I scan art that is created at ACN, then upload them to the archive.
While the g*vernment does everything in its power to minimize, erase and vilify Queer love/creation/community, this serves as a vessel to record and amplify works created by my siblings, who walk the frontlines everyday, by showing up as ourselves.

When does ACN happen?
Arts and Crafts Night is held on a Sunday, once a month, 7PM-12ish.

Is there a cover/participation fee?
NO!!!
I do this for the love of it, not to make any money. Tip your bartender nicely though ;)!
Can minors attend (younger than 21)?
No, the event is currently held in a 21+ venue. Although, reach out to me, maybe we can organize a second, all ages event :)
Do you take art supply donations?
YES!!
If you are interested in donating supplies, let me know! People have donated markers, fabric, paper, all sorts of things they had at home. You can either ask me about it in person, DM @acn.omaha on Instagram, or just bring what you have with you!
